If you’re a nature enthusiast who enjoys relaxing kayak rides, check out the calm waters of Lake Overholser, Lake Hefner and the Oklahoma River. Riversport Adventures has three kayak parks close in proximity to each other, both offering protected waters perfect for kayaking. Take a look:
Riversport Adventure Park is located along the Oklahoma River at 800 Riversport Drive in Oklahoma City. They offer an array of outdoor adventures for the whole family, including flatwater and whitewater kayaking.
You'll find some of the best kayaking in the state at these three kayak parks. You can bring your own kayak or rent one on site. They are open on the weekend during spring and fall and every day during summer.
Another fabulous spot to kayak in a protected area is on Lake Overholser. Head to the Lake Overholser Boathouse at 3115 Eeast Overholser Drive to check it out.
The lake coves approximately 1,600 acres and has a maximum depth of only 13 feet. It's the perfect place to take the family for an afternoon of flatwater kayaking.
