Owned by sisters Michelle and Kathryn Villabrille, Little Taiyaki is a dream turned reality for the duo who, inspired by their love for anime and Japanese culture, decided to bring the iconic Japanese snack, taiyaki, to the heart of Oklahoma.
The quaint storefront, situated in historic downtown Sapulpa, was transformed into a cozy haven where visitors can experience the joy of taiyaki. Decked out by the owner's mother in charming interior decor, the shop offers a delightful atmosphere perfect for holiday outings.
The shop, conveniently located along the enchanting Route 66 Chute, provides the perfect pitstop during the holiday season. The picturesque decorations of Sapulpa, akin to a Hallmark movie, create a magical backdrop for enjoying your taiyaki treat.
Taiyaki is a Japanese fish-shaped pastry, typically made from a pancake or waffle batter and filled with a variety of sweet or savory fillings such as chocolate, custard, or cheese. The treat's distinctive shape and delicious fillings make it a popular and beloved snack in Japan and beyond.
