There are lots of horribly creepy things to do in Oklahoma that most people didn’t know you can do. 1. Visit the ghost town of Picher - one of the most toxic places in America.
Can you imagine having to leave your community because the your house, air, and water is contaminated with a deadly poison? That was the reality for residents of Picher, Oklahoma. In 2006, this town was declared to be so dangerous to human life that it was evacuated and left to quietly rot.

Historic Fort Reno is known as one of the most haunted places in Oklahoma due to the countless stories of paranormal activity over the years. 3. Explore the scary parallel forest.
The Parallel Forest was built by the federal government as an experiment to deal with the effects of the Dust Bowl. As you can imagine, a creepy forest that is so uniform looking has brought with it many creepy stories of hauntings, urban legends, satanic rituals and everything else that would scare the living daylights out of you.

Of all the haunted, spooky places in Oklahoma, Sacred Heart Mission in Pottawatomie County has a truly terrifying past. The mission was built in 1880 and was used as a farm, school, chapel, seminary and boarding house. It was a flourishing mission until tragedy struck in 1901 when a fire broke out in the dining hall out and destroyed most of the facility.
