The Chickasaw National Recreation Area in south-central Oklahoma is the perfect place to explore the great outdoors. This Oklahoma oasis is situated at the foothills of the Arbuckle Mountains and features several beautiful trails, one of which is the Bromide Hill Hike.
The hike is 2.4 miles from the trailhead and rated as moderate. It's mostly wooded along the route and you'll pass several springs and creeks that make for a beautiful backdrop.
The trail is wide enough for mountain bikes, and you are allowed to brings dogs on the trail if they are kept on a leash. Chickasaw National Recreation Area is open year-round, so you can enjoy the views with many different looks.
