The rock is accessible by an easy 0.8-mile trail that is rated as easy and great for all skill levels. It's a gravel access trail that is clearly marked. Head to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at 14004 Lake Road. Behind the building is the trailhead that leads to the rock.

Skiatook Lake is located about 20 miles north and west of Tulsa in Osage County. There are about 160 miles of shoreline and thousands of acres surrounding the lake.

The rock stands 12 feet high, has a 17-foot base, and is 14 to 16 inches thick. It is no longer in its original location. In 1985 the Corps of Engineers moved the rock to its current location so it wouldn't get covered by the lake water when the lake was repositioned.
