Plus, they added a permanent exhibit “Out of Africa” that features elephants, zebras, and much more. It’s open to the public for a nominal fee and offers three different tours. Beavers Bend Wildlife Museum is located at the entrance of Beavers Bend State Park in Broken Bow. It is open year-round to the public and is a great place to take the whole family.
There are 11 wildlife dioramas that are exceptionally displayed to look real. At the checkout counter, you'll receive a recording to carry around with you that will explain things to you and add some great background noises of the animals.
Tours are available every hour plus they offer large group tours and religious tours on request. They also have hands-on activities and wildlife videos that are so interesting. Many visitors say they learned new things that they never knew before.
They have a beautiful collection of stuffed animals and you might even catch a taxidermist in action since they are also a popular taxidermy spot in the state.
