While Oklahoma isn’t known for its canyons, mountains and hillsides, we found one little-known canyon hiding in western Oklahoma that is breathtakingly beautiful. Four Canyon Preserve encompasses over 4,000 acres of beautiful rolling hills, rugged canyons, prairies, rare birds and plants and picturesque scenery.
Four Canyon Preserve has one of the most amazing landscapes in the country. You must see it in person to experience its true beauty.
The Canadian River runs along the protected Four Canyon Preserve and not only provides a habitat for many species, but is a beautiful backdrop to the canyons.
The next scheduled event is on October 29, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. The event is a 4-mile hike on Big Ridge Trail that takes you along some of the highest elevations in the area and offers stunning views. Space is limited and registration is required.
