Looking to spend the day on the beach? While we don’t have the ocean to enjoy in our land-locked state, we do have a great variety of lakes, one of which has a beautiful sandy beach that’s perfect for lounging and swimming – Foss Lake in western Oklahoma. Check it out below:
Sunset Beach at Foss State Park is the ultimate place to enjoy a relaxing summer day. It is unlike any other spot in the Sooner State.
The park boasts 1,749 acres of land and 8,800 acres of water. There are over 60 miles of shoreline on Foss Lake. It is the largest lake in western Oklahoma.
For only $35 a day, you can rent one of their five palapas for extra shade with a picnic area and a grill. Reservations are recommended, as the weekends and holidays fill up quickly.
They sit right on the shores of Sunset Beach, where you'll find lots of soft sand. Bring your lounge chairs, beach towels, sunscreen, and food and enjoy a full day at this beautiful sandy beach.
The lake is open 7 days a week during summer, so plan a trip to Sunset Beach in Foss State Park…you’ll have a blast!
