I was hesitant to share my favorite restaurant in fear that it would get too crowded but in the spirit of giving this month, I decided to spread some kindness. Flame Broiler in Tulsa looks like any other casual, eatery but the quality and freshness of food is off the charts. They serve rice bowls with a magic sauce that is literally magical. It is the only location in the state and well worth the drive if you’re a fan of Korean food. Keep scrolling to learn more.
Flame Broiler is located off 41st Street between Yale and Sheridan in a strip center across the street from Promenade Mall. It is the only location in Oklahoma but if you check their website you can find more locations in other states.
The first Flame Broiler opened in 1995 in California and now has over 180 Flame Broiler Restaurants in California, Arizona, Florida, Nevada, and Oklahoma (thank the good Lord).
The Tulsa location is very clean and the staff is super friendly and helpful. They have a handful of tables if you want to dine in or you can order it to go.
The menu is simple here. First, choose your size: mini, regular, or a plate. Second, choose your base: white or brown rice, veggies, rice & veggies, or salad. And last, choose your protein: beef, chicken, tofu, or half & half.
All orders come with Magic Sauce and you add on a hot sauce. My favorite way to eat it is with both. You can also purchase a bottle of Magic sauce to take home...which I always do and highly recommend - it's sweet but not too sweet.
Flame Broiler does offer online ordering but the Oklahoma location currently isn't set up for it, so you'll need to call ahead if you want to place a to-go order.
