There’s a local celebrity in the small town of Turley serving up some of the world’s best cobbler and you’ll want to make the trip to try it. Cobbler Mom, a.k.a. Joyce Horton has been selling her cobbler online and at shows over the years and last year she finally opened a small restaurant just north of Tulsa. She’s perfected her secret cobbler recipe over the last 30 years and she also serves a small menu of tasty meals to go along with it.
Cobbler Mom opened a little restaurant on the north side of Tulsa in the small town of Turley in 2019. It's a casual restaurant serving up some of the best cobbler around, along with a small offering of delicious comfort food.
Step inside and you'll most likely be greeted by Joyce, herself. She's the face behind the counter and the hands that create the delicious food and heavenly cobbler.
It's a no-frills type of place, but let's be honest, you're really here for the cobbler, not for a fancy meal. It's becoming a very popular place in town for lunch meet-ups.
Before we get to the cobbler, let's talk about the food. The menu is small but so, so tasty. You'll find things like fried chicken, beans and cornbread, and turkey burgers.
It's made from her secret recipe...and she said the crust is a big part of what makes it so good. Peach is the most popular kind of cobbler she serves but other flavors include apple, cherry, and blackberry.
You can visit Cobbler Mom Tuesday - Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. They are closed on Sunday and Monday, so don't make the trip on those days and be staring at the cobbler through the window.
