Are you ready to step back in time and enjoy life in the Old West? If so, there’s a two-day chuck wagon festival taking place in a few weeks that every (true) Oklahoman will want to attend. You’ll sample the most authentic chuck wagon food, enjoy live entertainment, and participate in activities like weaving and rope making. It takes place at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum – America’s premier institution of Western history, art and culture.
The Chuck Wagon Festival takes place May 25-26, 2019, on the grounds of the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City.
One of the festival favorites is the stagecoach and covered wagon rides. It truly takes you back in time and provides an authentic Old West experience.
The festival has been featured on the Food Network's "Top Five: Summer Sensations" show, for its mouthwatering food. The whole place looks just like an authentic chuck wagon camp.
Make sure to bring the camera to capture all the fun memories. This festival is unlike any other in the state and you won't want to miss it. The price of admission is $15 for adults and kids 12 and under are free.
