It’s time to throw the diet out the window, even if it’s for one evening and enjoy some of the best desserts in the state at Cheever’s Cafe in Oklahoma City. From decadent chocolate to creamy ice cream to caramel swirls, these heavenly desserts will tempt you in the best way possible.
Cheever's Cafe is located in an old flower shop in a historic Oklahoma City building. It's an elegant bistro offering the finest southwest and southern cuisine, along with contemporary comfort food and delicious desserts.
One of the best desserts in Oklahoma is the roasted pecan ice cream ball at Cheever's. It is a giant ball of traditional vanilla ice cream coated with brown sugar pecans and chocolate. It sits in a pool of caramel/chocolate sauce that's the most delectable dipping sauce ever.
The dessert menu features four staple desserts, plus specials that rotate. The Tres Leches Coffee Cake with blueberry whipped cream, bacon, and fruit is an example of one the creative rotations you can expect to find.
On top of the Roasted Pecan Ice Cream Ball, the other signature desserts include the Giant Carrot Cake, a Chocolate Layer Cake, and a Bourbon-Pecan Monkey Bread.
At Cheever's, you'll also find a full bar with beer, wine, and
new craft cocktails. The Dandelion (pictured below) features house made beet sumac syrup, Tanqueray gin, Elderberry liquor, and a dash of lemon juice.
They are open seven days a week for lunch and dinner and for brunch on Saturday and Sunday. Don't these Pistachio Pancakes served with blueberry elderflower marscapone, fruit, housemade syrup and sausage patties look so tasty for a weekend brunch?
