Oklahoma has some great camping accommodations to choose from. All across the state, you can find everything from primitive campgrounds to RV sites to more luxurious glamping options. If you’re looking for a great place to pitch a tent or bring the camper, head to northeastern Oklahoma to the award-winning Checotah/Lake Eufaula West Holiday KOA Campground. This lakeside campground is open year-round and is nestled in a quiet country setting on the shores of beautiful Lake Eufaula.
Most Oklahomans have enjoyed staying around Lake Eufaula, but not everyone knows about the KOA Campground nestled away in Checotah.
This award-winning KOA Kampground is located close to I-40 in a quiet country setting and offers long, wide pull-throughs with 50amp full hookups to make big rig parking virtually trouble-free.
The campground also has a pool that is open from Memorial Day-Labor Day (please check to see if the pool is open before booking in case it is closed due to COVID-19 restrictions.)
One of the greatest things about this campground is the setting. It's located just a few steps from the water and is nestled in between thousands of trees, creating a shaded setting which is great in the hot, summer months.
