There’s so much to discover in Oklahoma and one of the best ways to explore its beauty is through hiking. I don’t know about you, but I love exploring caves. There’s only a few areas in the state that have caves with hiking trails to leading to them, and one of them is in Robbers Cave State Park – a gorgeous landscape filled with beauty and mystery.
Check it out below:
Head to southeast Oklahoma to the hills of the San Bois Mountains and you'll find Robbers Cave State Park - a 8,246-acre park filled with majestic beauty.
The park is famous for its caves that were once used by notorious outlaws, Belle Star and Jesse James. They are open to the public and easily accessible.
You'll have to hike up the large sandstone formations and rocks, so plan accordingly. It's a short portion of the hike, so don't worry it's not too laborious.
Have you ever hiked to these aboveground caves? If so, what did you think about the hike? If you would like to spend the night in the park, check out this unique accommodation open to the public!
