Looking for a new roadside dining stop to satisfy your big appetite? If so, head to Boompa’s Burgers in Elgin where you’ll find a two-pound burger that is just about the biggest burger you’ll ever see. Plus, they have a giant burger challenge that includes a 2-pound cheeseburger, 2-pounds of fries, and a 20oz milkshake. You have 45 minutes to devour all this yumminess and if you do your meal is 1/2 off and you get posted on their wall of fame.
Boompa's Burger is a newly-featured burger joint for us. They are located off Highway US-277 in the small town of Elgin, just north of Lawton.
They aren't just known for their giant burgers...they are actually some of the best we have tried in all of Oklahoma. They have a 4.7-star Google rating with nearly 700 reviews, so don't just take our word for it.
The inside has a great vibe with fun OU and OSU flags. It's clean and bright, and the service is outstanding. It's just the kind of place where you want to go to relax and have a good burger.
Boompa's is home to the Giant Burger Challenge. It's a food-eating contest where you'll have 45-minutes to see if you can eat everything in the challenge - a 2-pound burger, 2 pounds of fries, and a 20-ounce milkshake. If you can eat it all your meal you'll get it for half off and be featured on the wall of fame! But, just be forewarned if you don't eat it all the price is $39.99.
All the "normal" sized burgers are still very large. They can pretty much make any combination you want, so if you don't see something on the menu that you want just ask them to make it.
