As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
I have shared lots of great Oklahoma vacation rentals in previous articles but if you’re looking for a budget-friendly vacation home rental in Oklahoma City, look no further than this charming carriage house, located in a prime spot near parks, museums, and restaurants. I think it’s one of the cutest places to stay in all of the city and with prices under $100/night, it’s very affordable. Keep scrolling to learn more about this adorable VRBO vacation rental.
The VRBO vacation rental sits behind the main house so when you pull up to the address you'll see this home first.
The charming carriage house looks like this and it becomes visible as you walk towards the back of the main house. It's totally separate from the house so there's lots of privacy.
Built in 1928, this spacious studio boasts beautiful original features, including heart pine floors and vaulted pine inlaid ceilings. The windows let in plenty of natural light, making the studio seem even larger than its 460 square feet.
Inside, you'll find everything you need for a comfortable stay. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals, and while there's no dishwasher, the sink is large enough to make clean-up a breeze.
One of the highlights of this vacation rental is the bathroom, which features a deep original claw foot soaking tub and a full shower with hand shower as well. It's the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day of exploring Oklahoma City.
But perhaps the best thing about this vacation rental is its location. It's within walking distance of numerous restaurants, events, and entertainment, including downtown, the OU Health Science Center, Midtown, the Plaza District, and the Paseo Arts District. And with most nights costing under $100, it's incredibly affordable.
During your stay in Oklahoma City, I highly recommend you visit Lake Hefner to see a beautiful lighthouse and there is also a great seafood restaurant there so you can enjoy gorgeous views and delicious food.
