If you're a camping enthusiast searching for the perfect spot off the beaten path, look no further than Blue River Campground. Tucked away just eight miles northeast of Tishomingo, Blue River spans 3,367 acres of picturesque Postoak and Blackjack timber, offering a rustic escape into nature.
Blue River provides an unparalleled camping experience with diverse options across its six areas. The entire camping extravaganza is currently free of charge, with campsites allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Area 1, stretching downstream from Hughes Crossing, features 29 campsites and four parking spots along a mile-long stretch. This area showcases the essence of primitive camping, with two restroom facilities and five prominent falls.
Venture upstream to Area 2, where 41 camping spots, RV parking, and two primitive restroom facilities await. Seven larger falls and angling trails provide a mesmerizing backdrop for outdoor enthusiasts.
