Do you ever just want to escape the busyness of life and just hear yourself think without distractions? If so, head to Roman Nose State Park to Inspiration Point Loop Trail, a 5.6-mile trail with stunning canyon views that offers peace and tranquility you just can’t find in many places. It’s the perfect place to enjoy the great outdoors and relax in nature.
Roman Nose State Park is one of the original seven state parks in Oklahoma. It's located northwest of Oklahoma City in the town of Watonga. It's situated in a gorgeous canyon with surrounding rock cliffs and natural springs and offers four hiking trails.
But you'll also go up the canyon and have gorgeous views of the surrounding topography. There's a bench at the top where you can sit and enjoy the peace and quiet.
The four trails are interconnected so if you want to discover a hidden waterfall, venture off to Three Springs Trail where you'll find a waterfall tucked away inside a cave.
If you’re interested in staying overnight in Roman Nose State Park, they have tepees that you can rent for a fun overnight adventure. You can rent them for only $25 per night and each one can sleep four adults comfortably.
