Okay, so maybe this one is a bit broad, but it's for good reason! Located in the southwestern portion of Oklahoma, the Wichitas are home to both a wildlife refuge and endless acres of hiking, wandering and exploring. Given Oklahoma's reputation as being "flat" (it is not!), this mountain out in the middle of nowhere is surely a feast for the eyes.

Here, you will find the cascading waterfalls that were used for filming the movie "Where The Red Fern Grows." It's lush, it's beautiful, and it's one of the most beautiful places in Oklahoma (or at least we certainly think so!). This one is definitely worth at least a day trip. Trust us.
