Here in Ohio, there’s a little-known playground that’s every child’s dream come true.
Preston’s HOPE Playground Park in Beachwood, Ohio is essentially the king of playgrounds. Deemed “the largest fully accessible playground park in Northeast Ohio,” this family favorite park is accessible to children of all needs and abilities. It features several different sections and some pretty epic playground equipment that you won’t find anywhere else. Check it out:
The playground is located on the property of (and is operated by) the Mandel Jewish Community Center in Beachwood.
The story behind this wonderful park begins with friends and family of a little boy born with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), who dreamed of playing in the park with all the other children.
Today, the park is a place where all children "can get up high, feel movement, play things you've never been able to, or just be quiet if you want," according to the park's website.
The play theater area features a stage for child who want to preform and let their imaginations soar, and tables for children and adults who want to watch or play board games.
Situated in the heart of the playground, It features kid-size houses and stores. Children can even ride their bikes around the perimeter on the "street."
Preston’s HOPE Playground Park is located at 26001 S Woodland Rd., Beachwood, OH 44122. Have you ever been here? If so, we want to know what your experience was like!
