One of our favorite beaches is hiding in a small coastal town, where the beautiful waves of Lake Erie crash ashore and the sunsets have never been more captivating. Nickel Plate Beach in Huron, Ohio is a hidden gem to passerby and a beloved secret among locals. From the amenities to the views, this is one little beach that will steal your heart. Take a look:

It's a gorgeous Lake Erie beach that simply doesn't get enough attention. (And locals would probably like to keep it that way.)

Note: There is no lifeguard on duty, so don't visit alone and swim at your own risk.
In addition to some beach volleyball nets, you'll find some playground equipment for the little ones.
