We’ve all heard of scary movies, but have you ever heard of scary movie theatres? That’s the exact experience you can look forward to when you visit Twin City Opera House, a haunted theatre in McConnelsville, Ohio that makes for a memorable visit. Whether you’re there for a movie or a ghost tour, you’ll find that this landmark is a memorable one. And you never know…you might just encounter something spooky!
The Twin City Opera House has been an Ohio landmark since opening its doors in 1892. Its history is a long and intriguing one.
On the opening night, the theater had something spectacular planned. It was one of the first buildings in the country to be operated by electricity. Yet ironically, the power went out that night, and many visitors left in disappointment.
After a few decades of vaudeville and comedy skits, silent films set the stage for over 100 years of movie screenings that would take place at Twin Cities Opera House.
In addition, the stage has seen the likes of musical performances, speakers, and plays. In fact, the theater has never closed its doors, even if it was only running virtually during the 2020 pandemic.
Do you think you'd sign up for a haunted tour of this famous Ohio landmark?
