So now, it’s time to start planning your month of June in Ohio — these are some of the best events we found, and we hope you like them!
Little Italy may be more well known for its Feast of the Assumption festival, but the Art Walks they hold throughout the year are a must-visit attraction, too! Stroll through the idyllic streets of Little Italy on a warm summer night and take in all of the artists, vendors, and musicians that are set up through the community. While you're at it, you can also grab some food at some of the incredible spots in the neighborhood (Mama Santa, anyone?).
Interested in what goes bump in the night? Or maybe cool Ohio legends that get shared around campfires? Then MonsterFest is for you! Held in Canton, Ohio, and orchestrated by the documentary production company Small Town Monsters, MonsterFest is all about celebrating the weird and wonderful side of legends in the United States. Check out the conference to discover incredible story-tellers and filmmakers, vendors, and more.
Are you a fan of Antiques Roadshow? Then, you're in for a treat! The long-running show is heading to Akron in June, hosted at the Stan Hywett Hall and Gardens. The event itself will be inside the manor and on the surrounding grounds. Even if you can't snag a ticket yourself, it'll be worth checking out the area when the show comes to Ohio!
The perfect summer event, the Columbus Summer Wine Festival, will be on June 10th (and also July 15th) this year. You can experience wine sampling, arts and crafts, live music and more at this awesome affair. Columbus is an incredible community and this summer event is the perfect celebrate the awesome changes in weather.
Open air markets are one of the best parts of summer in the Midwest, and the Charm at the Farm markets are a crowd-pleaser! An absolutely adorable open air shopping vintage market located on a 56 acre farm in quaint Lebanon, OH, just north of Cincinnati. If you live, laugh, love browsing through vendors in beautiful weather, you gotta check it out.
Are you a fan of music? Then this festival, now in its 24th year, might be the perfect event for you this June. The Creekside Blues & Jazz Festival features famous groups and performers all in one place, so if you're a music-lover, you should check out this scene in Gahanna, which is just outside of Columbus.
Firefly Nights is nonprofit organization whose passion is fostering the diverse, neighborly, and lively atmosphere of Downtown Bowling Green, all while giving the community a chance to come together for some fun. Street vendors, musicians, food trucks, and artists will be featured along main street in Bowling Green -- there will be something for everyone!
For more than a decade, pirates have been taking over Put-in-Bay’s downtown harbor for a weekend in summer! Full of events for both children and adults alike (themed activities, costume contests, and more) Pyrate Fest will be a (cannon) blast, so make sure to grab your best pirate gear and wooden leg and head up to Put-In-Bay to for this epic Lake Erie coast celebration.

9. Juneteenth Celebrations (Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, and more) - 6/16 to 6/18
Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery, and throughout Ohio, there will be festivals to celebrate and showcase talented Ohio Black-owned businesses with tons of vendors, entrepreneurs and community partners. Cleveland's Freedom Fest is just one of the incredible events in June this year, so many sure to look for one in an Ohio community near you!
10. Ohio Pride events (Cleveland, Dayton, Stark County, Columbus, Cincinnati and more) - varied dates
In June, Pride events are being held all over the state and will be full of artists, music, vendors, and more! They're an incredible way to experience a new city, but if an event is happening in a community near you, it's worth hopping in the car to spend an afternoon with tons of wonderful people.
