Here in Ohio, it’s pretty amazing how many of the “world’s largest…” items we have scattered throughout our state. (Be sure to check out the world’s largest cuckoo clock here.) Once upon a time, the Buckeye State was even home to the world’s largest eagle’s nest. Today, there’s a massive replica of it on display at the Carlisle Visitor Center in LaGrange, Ohio.
Here’s why you’ll want to see this impressive replica for yourself:
The Raptor Center of Lorain County Metro Parks features "The Great Nest", which is part of a larger display of bird's of prey.
"The Great Nest" exhibit is located at the back corner of the visitor's center. It's a replica of the largest eagle's nest ever recorded near Vermillion, Ohio.
The original nest was destroyed in a storm in the 1920s. Today, the replica stands just as tall and just as impressive.

Stretching 12 feet tall and nestled in a tree at ground level, this massive nest will certainly make you feel small. It's truly something to marvel at.
