There’s nothing like a hearty plate of pasta to satisfy an Italian food craving. Here in Ohio, we’re fortunate to have several Italian restaurants, many of which are family-owned and operated. Mazza’s in Mount Vernon is a third-generation family-owned and operated restaurant that’s been cooking exceptional Italian food since 1939. Here’s why it belongs at the top of your dining bucket list—especially if you enjoy Italian food.
With a history that dates back to 1939, this delicious Italian restaurant is a best kept secret for locals and a hidden gem for visitors.
The current Mazza's location (pictured) open in 2018, but the West High Street location operated from 1939 - 2008.
Here, you'll find all the classic Italian dishes that feature original family recipes with a bit of a twist. The Spaghetti and Meatballs features a special house-made sauce and hand rolled meatballs.
Whether you prefer lobster or scallops, you'll find an entree that features your shellfish of choice.

Additionally, you'll find some interesting burgers and sandwiches if you'd rather not indulge in an Italian dish. Pictured is the “The Infinity Burger Challenge.”
This food challenge features Mazza’s Stacked Prime Rib Sandwich, topped with Mazza’s Famous Salad, a Mazza’s Meatball and two half-pound Chuck Brisket Patties.
The full bar also has a little something for everyone, so you can pair your delicious meal with your favorite drink. Pictured is the Tiramisu Martini.
You can visit Mazza's on Monday-Thursday from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. on Friday-Saturday from 2 p.m. - 2 a.m. and on Sunday from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. For more information about this exceptional restaurant, visit Mazza's website.
