Here in Ohio, winter can be quite terrible. The scenery isn’t worth writing home about and the list of things to do is pretty short. I mean, it’s safe to say life pretty much just stops in the Buckeye State once winter hits, right? The following are 11 reasons why no one in their right mind visits Ohio in the winter.
Capital Park at Mad River Mountain is the Midwest's #1 Terrain Park and The Avalanche Tubing Park features a 1,000-ft. tubing hill with 10 lanes. So what?
5. You're just going to be stuck inside all season.
FYI: The ice rink and ice bumper cars will be on Cincinnati's Fountain Square from November 7 - February 15. (But again, who's even interested in that kind of nonsense?)

9. Don't even get us started on the winter dining options.
The Blue Heron in Medina features private igloos—complete with your very own fire pit—that you can reserve for an unforgettable meal. But's that's really not very unique, right?
10. Don't expect our local businesses to get creative this time of year.
This winter, Fifty West Brewery in Cincinnati is adding a little magic to its beer garden with open fire pits and an ice skating rink—but that's pretty standard, right?
11. There just aren't very many ways you can embrace the season and actually enjoy winter here in Ohio.
