Here in Ohio, some of the quirkiest restaurants are home to some of the best food. (Be sure to check out this list of wacky restaurants.) The small town of Athens, Ohio is home to a grommet hot dog shop that’s also a mini museum. O’Betty’s Red Hot is unlike any other restaurant in Ohio. Chili, goat cheese, avocado, bacon, coleslaw—anything goes on a hotdog here.

Hiding in Athens close to the campus of Ohio University, O'Betty's Red Hot is one of the most unique hot dog restaurants you'll ever experience.
All of the hot dogs here are made with 100% beef. You'll also find some mouthwatering brats and some pretty tasty fries. The award-winning cuisine takes the concept of the Great American Hot Dog to a whole other level.
You can visit O'Betty's on Monday – Saturday from 11 a.m. – 3 a.m.
The Wonderful Wacky Hot Dog Museum features hundreds of hot dog related items, many of which you've likely never seen before. You'll find everything from a hot dog shaped phone to a hot dog shaped harmonica.
Please note: O'Betty's Red Hot is closed on Sundays.
O’Betty’s Red Hot is located at 15 West State St., Athens, OH 45701. Have you ever been here before? If so, we want to know what your experience was like!
