I write like it's my job - because it is! I have a Master's in English and love words: crossword puzzles, Scrabble games, Wordle, and, of course, good, old-fashioned books.
I'm a writer and editor at OnlyInYourState, and a contributing writer at Cincinnati Magazine. I love the Great Outdoors and am endlessly awestruck by this beautiful country of ours. Coffee keeps me going, yoga keeps me sane, my kids keep me grounded, and my writing keeps me inspired.
Here at OnlyInOhio, we have an unabashed love for all things retro and nostalgic. We also adore the Great Outdoors. So naturally, vintage airstream trailers are our jam, whether we’re glamping in one or celebrating this vintage vehicle at a festival! So imagine our delight to discover a vintage airstream park in Ohio where this delightfully retro camper is the star of the show. Quirky? Yes. Awesome? Absolutely!
Is there anything more delightful than a vintage Airstream trailer? We think not.
We're not the only ones who think so. In Ohio, the Airstream Heritage Center is a delightfully quirky day trip sure to make your retro-loving heart happy.
From the creation of the first streamlined aluminum Airstream in the 1930s to decades of world-spanning Caravans that fostered cross-county adventures, the Airstream story is deeply intertwined with the American story. The Heritage Center, a museum inside Ohio's Airstream HQ, provides a rare and in-depth look at this fascinating history that is sure to inspire future adventurers for years to come.
You'll find Heritage Center is conveniently located at the front of the travel trailer production facility: 1001 W. Pike St. Jackson Center, OH, 45334. Open Monday-Friday, admission is just a few dollars per person (free for kids 12 and under), with all proceeds going toward the Airstream Foundation.
Inside, you'll find over a dozen vintage Airstream trailers that chronicle the rise of this all-American icon. Shiny and in pristine condition, these impossibly charming trailers might convince you to try out #rvlife!
Curious to see behind the curtain, so to speak? Free tours are offered at the Airstream Factory that provide a immersive and in-depth look at just how these fascinating RVs are made.
