I write like it's my job - because it is! I have a Master's in English and love words: crossword puzzles, Scrabble games, Wordle, and, of course, good, old-fashioned books.
I'm a writer and editor at OnlyInYourState, and a contributing writer at Cincinnati Magazine. I love the Great Outdoors and am endlessly awestruck by this beautiful country of ours. Coffee keeps me going, yoga keeps me sane, my kids keep me grounded, and my writing keeps me inspired.
There’s nothing like a day spent in nature to quiet a busy mind. Stepping back, putting the iPhone down, and allowing yourself a quiet moment in the Great Outdoors is good for the mind and body. There are lots of wonderful Ohio State Parks that make it easy to escape the world for a bit, and I’m always on the hunt for new-to-me parks to explore and experience. Scioto Trail State Park is a 218-acre refuge tucked inside the 9,000-acre Scioto Trail State Forest, offering visitors a quiet escape in Ohio nature.
Quiet and serene, there’s no place quite like this Ohio State Park! For more information on the Scioto Trail State Forest, visit its listing on the Ohio DNR website.
