Here in Ohio, we’re fortunate to have so many beautiful waterfalls to chase on a relaxing weekend afternoon—and if you don’t have the time for an all-day hike, there’s plenty to see that don’t require much hiking at all. (Be sure to check out this list of waterfalls that require little to no hiking.) Paine Falls Park in Leroy Township is an underrated metro park with a gorgeous waterfall that’s easily accessible. You can practically drive right up to these falls, which are located less than an a quarter of a mile away from the designated parking area.

The falls feature multiple tiers that creature beautiful cascades. After heavy rainfall, the falls flow strong and powerful.

The waterfall and park are named after Edward Paine, the founder of Painesville. By the 1850s, the surrounding town known as "Paine's Hollow" fell into decline. In 1974, the park was established.
