I write like it's my job - because it is! I have a Master's in English and love words: crossword puzzles, Scrabble games, Wordle, and, of course, good, old-fashioned books.
I'm a writer and editor at OnlyInYourState, and a contributing writer at Cincinnati Magazine. I love the Great Outdoors and am endlessly awestruck by this beautiful country of ours. Coffee keeps me going, yoga keeps me sane, my kids keep me grounded, and my writing keeps me inspired.
When was the last time you enjoyed a day of good, old-fashioned fun? It’s something we could all use a bit more of in our lives. And “fun” is exactly what’s on the agenda for today’s featured activity. In Southwest Ohio, Sharon Lake is a beguiling 35-acre body of water at the eponymous Hamilton County Great Park.
Sharon Harbor’s boathouse operates from mid-March through mid-October, offering pedal boats, row boats, canoes, kayaks, and motorboats for rent. You don’t need a reservation and pay by the hour, with a four-person pedal boat costing little more than a movie ticket.
Sharon Woods is a beautiful little Buckeye State treasure, and exploring this park via pedal boat is an immensely pleasurable way to spend an afternoon!
