Ohio is full of beautiful waterfalls, and while places like Hocking Hills State Park and Cuyahoga Valley National Park are lauded for their falls, the Buckeye State has so much more to offer waterfall chasers. For example, within the Cleveland Metroparks, Bedford Reservation is a veritable waterfall chasing paradise — even for those not looking for much of a chase! This reservation features a deep gorge — declared a National Natural Landmark — carved out by Tinker’s Creek, with picturesque vistas and waterfalls. The Bridal Veil Falls Overlook, for example, provides a beautiful vantage point for one of the state’s most fabulous falls; and at less than half a mile long, it’s a blissfully short and sweet waterfall hike in Ohio.

Surrounded by hardwoods and hemlocks, Bridal Veil Falls is one of the most alluring and accessible waterfalls in Ohio. It's a favorite spot for photographers, and after seeing it for yourself, you'll undoubtedly understand why.
Bridal Veil Falls sits near the headwaters of Deer Lick Creek and is easily accessed via a short-and-sweet, out-and-back trail that, round-trip, is barely half a mile long.
With a "hike" that's more of a quick jaunt than any sort of strenuous trek, this waterfall is a favorite among families and newbie waterfall chasers... and the shallow pools are great fun for creek stomping come summertime!
Beautiful all-year round, there's something extra enchanting about visiting Bridal Veil Falls after a dusting of snow in the winter, of when framed by fall foliage in the autumn!
