If you love Mexican food, you’re in luck! Ohio has tons of great Mexican restaurants, from hole-in-the-wall joints to tasty taquerias. Some of the best food can be found in the tiniest restaurants, and we’ve recently discovered this little gem. Check out Momocho:
Welcome to Momocho! This pretty little red restaurant is about to become your new favorite spot for delicious Mexican food.
You'll find Momocho at 1835 Fulton Rd., Cleveland, OH 44113.
In this case, tiny means cozy, and Momocho is the kind of spot that makes you feel right at home. Check out all the Lucha Libre memorabilia covering the walls.
The guacamole is downright addictive. Momocho makes six different kinds, so you might want to order a sampler to try three. Choose from traditional, goat cheese, black pepper pecorino, pineapple, crab, or pineapple.
The taquitos are the star of the show here, and they come in several varieties. With savory selections like adobo and citrus-braised pork, chili ancho braised beef brisket, and al pastor shrimp, you'll want to come back several times to try them all.
You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The flautas, stuffed with butternut squash and goat cheese and served with red chile and chocolate mole are delicious...
Finish off your meal with a huge dessert. The fried ice cream starts with a huge serving of vanilla ice cream. Then it's coated with a peanut and corn flake crust, drenched with chocolate sauce and agave nectar, then topped with a healthy dollop of whipped cream.
Momocho is open Tuesday through Friday starting at 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 4 p.m.. Patio dining is first come, first served, so if you're planning on enjoying your dinner in the fresh air, get here early.
