Here in Ohio, the holiday season is truly a magical season. All throughout the state, you’ll find everything from Christmas castles to nutcracker villages. It’s also a time for nostalgia and fond memories of yesteryear. If you’re interested in learning about the Christmases of decades past and how Christmas is celebrated around the world, there’s a special exhibit in Youngstown you’ll want to check out. The Mahoning Valley Historical Society hosts an annual holiday exhibit at The Arms Family Museum called “Memories of Christmas Past”—and it’s just as magical as it sounds.
For the 12th year in a row, The Arms Family Museum is hosting its most beloved and popular exhibit, "Memories of Christmas Past."
Designer and collector Anthony Worrellia plans the exhibit all year long, gathering pieces for a special theme to showcase each year.
This year's theme is "By the Fireside" and it's "inspired by the museum’s mix of fireplaces from the Arts and Crafts Design Movement and later architectural styles," according to the historical society's website.
Please note: The museum is closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
