So bring your camera — and maybe even a picnic — because this is one spot where you’ll want to spend some time.

Earl H. Barnhart "Buzzard's Roost" Nature Preserve is comprised of 1,200 beautiful acres tucked away in Ross County, Ohio. From this vantage point, you'll be able to admire miles upon miles of the wild and rugged landscape.
For the very best views in the park, you'll want to hike South Point Lookout Trail. From the main parking area, it's a two mile loop infused with hardwood forests, fascinating rock formations, and a breathtaking overlook.
Upon reaching the lookout, you'll want to take plenty of time to soak in the views. This perspective of the Paint Creek Gorge is one you won't soon forget!
On your way down, you'll also notice the characteristic vertical cliffs made up of sandstone and shale. You don't have to be a geologist to appreciate this fascinating attraction.
