If you’re someone who appreciates Ohio’s bountiful flora, there are few places as enriching as the Holden Arboretum. It’s an incredible resource, and it just so happens to be the home of one of the longest elevated canopy walks in the state. From this elevated perspective, visitors will appreciate the arboretum from a new perspective. No matter your age, this adventure is one that belongs on your bucket list!
Holden Arboretum is a fantastic destination that invites visitors to appreciate the beautiful wooded landscape of the region. The two most unique attractions at the arboretum are the Kalberer Emergent Tower and the Murch Canopy Walk.
The tower is 120 feet tall (approximately 12 stories) and offers unparalleled views of the surrounding region. As you can imagine, fall is a positively magical time to visit.
This magical, elevated walkway rises 65 feet above the forest floor. Walking across this unique bridge, you'll find yourself immersed in the mature forest.
And while it may seem somewhat daunting, visitors have noted that this canopy walk doesn't feel too intimidating. The bridge is supported via a network of cables and platforms.
Access to both the tower and walk is included in the price of your admission to the arboretum. So be sure to take time to enjoy all that this wonderful Ohio landmark has to offer!
