Do you have a bucket list of hiking trails in Ohio? There’s one trail in western Ohio that belongs at the top of every Ohioan’s bucket list. It features a stunning gorge, an abundance of waterfalls and even a charming mill and restaurant along the way. The next time you need a weekend adventure or a day trip idea, consider hiking the loop trail at Clifton Gorge State Nature Preserve.
Right by John Bryan State Park, you'll find Clifton Gorge. It follows the course of the Little Miami River, making it a beautiful hiking destination.
The loop trail, also known as the Pittsburgh-Cincinnati Stagecoach Trail, cuts through limestone gorge and follows interesting pieces of Ohio's past, which you can read about along the way.
As an added bonus, just a few minutes off the trail, you'll encounter Clifton Mill. It's a historic mill and charming restaurant worthy of its own day trip.
