European cuisine chef Boby Mitov has been serving up delicious food in this charming college town for over 15 years. The restaurant, formerly called Naslada Bistro, changed its name to The Clay Pot Bistro in 2020 in an effort to convey it as a wholly welcoming and delightfully rustic place for gathering and dining.
One of the hallmarks of European dining is a leisurely and sensual approach to eating that's all about enjoying each and every bite -- and the entire dining experience. It's easy to do this at The Clay Pot, which offers course after course of absolutely delicious, deceptively simple food.
In true French fashion, the menu doesn't shy away from boeuf, which is a welcome treat! Unctuous and packed with umami, the "European Entrees" section of the menu features both grass-fed beef tenderloin and grass-fed fillet mignon.
The filet mignon is a true culinary masterpiece: a perfectly cooked piece of meat served with mascarpone potatoes with grilled cheese and brandy peppercorn sauce. It's heady and hardy and definitely worth the splurge!

This college town is a worldly and wonderful hidden gem nestled in the countryside of northwest Ohio that's well worth exploring -- and The Clay Pot certainly makes for a compelling reason to visit.
