Here in Ohio, we’re fortunate to be graced with so many vibrant farmers markets. (Be sure to check out this indoor, year-round market.) There’s nothing like a juicy peach or jumbo slice of watermelon fresh from the farm on a summer afternoon. Harvey’s Market in Big Prairie, Ohio is one of the best roadside farmers markets you’ll find. With an impressive selection of produce, baked goods and even greenhouse plants, it’s the perfect place to stop on a sunny day leisurely drive.
Here’s why this market is simply too good to pass up:
Traveling along State Route 39 in northeast Ohio, you'll find this one-of-a-kind market that's worth its own road trip.
Address: 12636 State Route 39, Big Prairie, OH, 44611
The market opens for the season in early May. From fresh berries to sweet corn, you'll find it all at Harvey's Market. If it's in season, it's likely here.
There's even a stocked fishing pond on site. It's $1 per person and $3 per fish. No fishing license is required.
As an added bonus, you'll want to peek in at Harvey's Greenhouse. The hanging baskets are particularly beautiful and make the perfect gift for a mother, aunt or grandmother.
