If You Haven't Heard Of Ohio's Donut Trail, You're In For Something Awesome
The only thing better than a donut glazed to perfection (complete with your favorite toppings and/or fillings) is a donut trail that will lead you to delicious donuts again and again.
Last month, the Butler County Visitors Bureau unveiled Ohio’s first official donut trail, featuring nine small, family-run donut shops. The Butler County Donut Trail invites donut connoisseurs to experience Butler County via locally produced donuts—something the county prides itself in.
According to the Butler County Visitors Bureau, the county contains one of the highest numbers of donut shops per capita in the Midwest. (This is good news for donut connoisseurs in Ohio.)
To participate in the Donut Trail, download a passport and hit the road. Participating donut shops will display a coded decal that donut connoisseurs will need to fill in their passports. Those who fill in the passport with the correct codes and mail their completed passport to the Butler County Visitors Bureau will earn a complimentary Donut Trail t-shirt—proof that you’ve tasted some of the state’s best donuts and are qualified to judge exactly where the best donuts in Ohio are.
Specifically, the trail features; Jupiter Coffee & Donuts, Kelly’s Bakery, Martin’s Donuts, Milton’s Donuts, Mimi’s Donuts & Bakery, Oxford Doughnut Shoppe, Ross Bakery, Stan the Donut Man and The Donut Spot. For business addresses and to download the Donut Trail map, click here.
Will we see you along The Donut Trail? 🙂
