Lakewood is a scenic suburban city whose shore is actually visible from Downtown Cleveland.
As one of Cleveland's early suburbs, this historic community is full of old-school charm. It's home to over 50,000 people, and this population loves to celebrate.
As winter sets its sights on the city, Lakewood becomes both frosty and festive.

For more than a decade and a half, Light Up Lakewood has infused the community with endless cheer.
Expect music, food trucks, caroling, and fun from local businesses. You might even decide to get colorful and dress up... and if you do, you'll fit right in!
This year's Roundstone Beer Garden opens to visitors right as the festival kicks off at 4 p.m. and continues with the merrymaking until 7:45. While beer may make you feel warm, remember to bundle up... and, as you can see, Ralphie-inspired pink bunny suits are an appropriate option.
...and the whole family will love climbing aboard the holiday train.
The parade, which heads westbound down Detroit Avenue starting at Belle Avenue, kicks off at 5 p.m. As it starts to get dark, the twinklin' lights feel truly magical. You'll see lights on floats, on buildings, and even on people!
And, when all is said and done, Santa himself might even come to town.
The fireworks show begins at 7 p.m., and it truly wraps up an evening of fun with a bang. Mark your calendar for this year's event, because you won't wanna miss it!
