These are the grounds of Century Village Museum, located just past the southern end of Burton Square.
Its metaphorical doors first opened in 1942, and the public was utterly charmed by what they saw. Well-loved and impeccably preserved homes from the 1800s gave a peek back into well over a century of history, though visitors could only enter the Hickox House at the time.

Throughout these lovely historic homes are antiques and collectibles from the 1800s.
The events reflect life from circa 1798 up to the turn of the 19th century. The Civil War demonstrations are particularly popular, and children love learning about pioneer school.
Though tours are typically only offered in the warmer months, there are many year-round events that should not be missed.
