Located about 40 minutes outside of Cleveland is a tiny Medina County community that you could easily blink and miss. Valley City, also known as Liverpool Township, can be found at the intersection of State Routes 252 and 303. It’s best known for its annual Frog Jump, an odd tradition inspired by a Mark Twain story. However, it’s also known for country-style cookin’ and sweet treats. Valley City Chill & Grille is the best place for both… and if you find yourself in this part of Medina County, then you absolutely should swing by.
In a fairly rural area, Valley City Chill & Grille is a surprising treat. No wonder locals love it so much! Are there any other small-town eateries just outside Greater Cleveland that you’d also recommend? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
While you’re in the area, it’s worth making the trek out toward Medina Square. In addition to featuring all sorts of history and dining, the Foundry Social has games, go-karting, and oodles of family fun.
