Located about 40 minutes outside of Cleveland is a tiny Medina County community that you could easily blink and miss. Valley City, also known as Liverpool Township, can be found at the intersection of State Routes 252 and 303. It’s best known for its annual Frog Jump, an odd tradition inspired by a Mark Twain story. However, it’s also known for country-style cookin’ and sweet treats. Valley City Chill & Grille is the best place for both… and if you find yourself in this part of Medina County, then you absolutely should swing by.
Located right on Route 303, Valley City Chill and Grille is a modern little diner surrounded by history.
As you can see, the dishes here have a flair of decadence. Delicious toppings make modest dishes unforgettable, and everything is made to order and cooked to perfection. You can find the full menu on their website!

Their ice cream is beloved by children and adults alike...
If you find an ice cream flavor you like (and you will), you'll appreciate knowing that you can order it in cake form. You can snag a full ice cream cake or opt for half ice cream, half cake. Either way, remember that the business prefers 24-hour notice for their cakes.
While they're a bit of a hike outside of Cleveland, Clevelanders are consistently impressed by their pierogies. It's a favorite dish for many patrons!
The surrounding town is historic, but the interior of this little eatery is chic and modern. Despite its modern-day feel, this little shop feels like any other coveted mom and pop shop... it's full of neighborhood vibes and friendly faces.
