Here in Cleveland, we live and breathe pierogies. Cleveland is the birthplace of the world’s largest pierogi (at nearly 216 lbs., as you might guess), a site of innovation for pierogi recipes, and even the location of an annual pierogi-themed race. This humble dumpling has grown to new heights in The Land, but locals are quietly whispering about one restaurant that’s better than any other. That’s right… the best pierogi in Cleveland is said to be served up from a humble, unassuming storefront in the Brooklyn area. Care to try it and judge for yourself? Here’s all you need to know:
You've just found Mom's Pierogies, one of the most mouthwatering storefronts on Memphis Avenue in Brooklyn.
Mom's Pierogies is closed on Sundays and Mondays, but they'll become one of your new go-to spots on the other days of the week. This no-frills carry-out joint is totally unassuming, but locals are hooked!
You may recognize the name from the Crocker Park Farmers’ Market, but their storefront here is the site of innovation where their delicious dumplings are made.
The name of the game here is gourmet Polish pierogies. The name of the carryout spot, Mom's Pierogies, is a nod to the family recipe that you'll get to try. It was passed down from the owner's mother, and now it can become your own family's tradition, too.

This tiny storefront is carryout or curbside pickup only — there's no dine-in, but comfort food is best enjoyed at home, anyway.
The food here is made fresh and with love, and that's plain to see! As soon as you bite into these delectable and indulgent pierogies, you'll be immersed in flavor.

Here, you can take home frozen pierogies to enjoy later...
You can pre-order frozen pierogies to stock up your freezer. Indulge after dinner with apricot or apple pie pierogies, or start your day with the breakfast pierogi. For lunch or dinner, there are almost too many options to choose from... you can go traditional with potato and cheddar or opt for something unique like chicken parmesan pierogies!
Keep in mind, however, that each fried order comes with an added charge of $1. It's so worth it... you'll love the crispy outside and melt-in-your-mouth inside!
Mom's Pierogies is known for its unique flavors, but they take things a step further... they'll even make custom pierogies!
If you're interested in custom pierogies, Mom's is the place for you. Their website boldly states, "We will put anything you want inside of a pierogi." Now that's how we Clevelanders like it! Keep in mind that a minimum of three dozen is required for custom orders, and a seven-day processing time will be necessary.
After just one visit, you'll understand why locals can't stop raving about these delicious pierogies.
Cleveland has a lot of pierogies to choose from, but the Domaradzki family of Mom's Pierogies has secured a following here in The Land. Try their offerings for yourself and see what you think!
