This pretty neighborhood is just a stone's throw from Downtown Cleveland and it features a totally different atmosphere. Overflowing with art galleries and great food, there truly isn't a friendly spot in The Land.

St. Theodosius Russian Orthodox Cathedral is a place where many local families, including my own, worshiped and socialized. Not only is its beauty mesmerizing to locals, but it once entertained an international audience in The Deer Hunter.
Sokolowski's University Inn is one of Cleveland's most famous restaurants, and it is tucked in this gem of a neighborhood. Since 1923, the Sokolowski family has made much of Greater Cleveland feel right at home with classic Polish comfort food in a cafeteria-style setting. You will find this Cleveland fixture at 1201 University Rd., and you'll also find a glimpse back in time in a community that was once heavily settled by immigrants.
And if the city's many historic businesses aren't enough to quench your thirst for knowledge, you might as well swing by a museum or two.
The Ukrainian Museum-Archives is one of Cleveland's hidden gems, and it's too fascinating to skip out on. Located at 1202 Kenilworth Ave., this incredible destination preserves the stories of the European immigrants that helped shape the charming community of Tremont. Be sure to swing by Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
The Spotted Owl, located at 710 Jefferson Ave., is the perfect place to wet your whistle after your adventure.
This quirky cocktail bar is unlike anything you've ever seen. Nestled between Professor and West 7th, this cozy little hangout opens at 5 p.m. to entertain you all through the evening hours.
