Life in Cleveland can make you feel on top of the world. When you’re standing at the highest points of local parks, it certainly feels like you are indeed looking down upon the world around you. The loveliest overlooks are often found in our surrounding sandstone and shale cliffs, but this one gorgeous overlook in Bedford Reservation comes with a stunning waterfall. Pack some bug spray and sunscreen, because this lovely destination will have you craving time outdoors.
At the top of the incredibly scenic Tinker's Creek Gorge, it seems that hikers can see the surrounding landscape for miles.
Bedford Reservation is a gorgeous piece of the Cleveland Metroparks where locals can't get enough of the landscape. However, this gorgeous overlook is the park's crown jewel.
But the true magic actually takes place at the bottom of the gorge.
Over the years, a lovely creek has carved and shaped the walls of this impressive gorge. The patterns of weathering and erosion on the gorge walls are a mesmerizing feature that's often covered in lichen and ferns.

The main attraction of this journey is the Great Falls of Tinkers Creek, which was once the center of local industry.
The days of milling at this site are gone, but the once busy site has only partially been reclaimed by nature. Bricks lie everywhere, and visitors may even spot a few intact structures.
After recent rainfall, the might of the falls is enhanced.
This pretty place is tucked away off Gorge Parkway between Dunham and Egbert Roads. For a map of the park, click here.
Tourists may not consider Greater Cleveland as a potential vacation destination, but we locals know just how incredible our home is. Have you ever visited this lovely site? Drop some of your photos in the comments!
