In coastal communities, fish markets are huge. You never know what you’ll find at them! Here in Cleveland, of course, the ocean is many miles away, so our seafood selection is not as impressive… unless you go to Kate’s Fish, that is. Kate’s Fish is a long-standing local business that operates inside the West Side Market and offers the biggest seafood selection in Cleveland. This Byzantine-inspired building hosts the oldest marketspace in all of Cleveland. While the current building was built in 1912, a market began operating in this area (or, rather, right across the street from the current building) in 1840.
Inside the building are around 100 stalls, and they offer all sorts of goods, ranging from meat to cheese to bakery.
Kate's Fish has been a hit with locals for over 15 years. While the stalls at the market may seem to be rather small at first glance, the selection at Kate's Fish will blow your mind.

They specialize in bringing in quality fish directly from the fisherman who caught them to Cleveland, Ohio.
Offerings like house-smoked salmon will make your mouth water, but remember to come with an open mind! Here, you'll find the largest selection of whole fish in the area.
Ohio isn't exactly bordering an ocean, after all.
