There’s nothing quite like reconnecting with Mother Nature, especially here in our own gorgeous environment. Northeast Ohio is overflowing with splendid places where you’ll feel one with nature, but a few stand out as unlike any other. Each Cleveland Metroparks campus hides another incredible surprise, and local parks each seem to provide something memorable. However, there’s only one spring-fed pool in a historic quarry awaiting your visit, and it’s hiding in the boundaries of historic Peninsula, Ohio.
If you've ever driven through Peninsula, you've doubtlessly encountered historic beauty, natural splendor, and a friendly demeanor about each individual you meet.
A friendly sign welcomes visitors to a swimming hole that has entertained locals for decades. The Quarry is historic in many ways, providing visitors the opportunity to ponder past human activity in its campus.

All around The Quarry are examples of exposed and smoothed sandstone, giving the forest-bound pool an incredibly earthy vibe.
This pool is a little piece of paradise hidden in Greater Cleveland! A daily swim pass is $9 per person or $5 after 5 p.m. Oh, and children under 3 are free!
It is open Thursday through Sunday from noon to 7 p.m., in the summer months, though it shortens to weekends (and Labor Day) only circa the middle of August.
Summer isn't over just yet, and there's no better place to enjoy it than in the heart of the Cuyahoga Valley.
Can you believe this gorgeous destination has been hidden for so long? You simply must gather a group and plan a trip, because the history here is fascinating.
After just one visit, you'll never forget The Quarry.
There are few spring-fed pools in Greater Cleveland that are as beloved as The Quarry, which truly is a hidden wonder in the heart of the Cuyahoga Valley. Before summer ends, you must make time for a visit. Who will you be bringing?
