Hidden about two hours away in Lucas County is a destination that will delight your inner rock hound and history buff. From April through October, you can visit this charming park to hunt fossils from Ohio's ancient oceanic past in the soft shale found in this five-acre park for free. The park opens each day at 7:30 a.m. and closes 90 minutes before sunset.
