When Clevelanders are finally emerging from a winter that seemed endless, the promise of summer is particularly tantalizing. When the season is so anticipated, it is easy to feel like you’ve done everything already. However, Clevelanders can rest assured; there is adventure around every corner in The Land!
The Cleveland Velodrome is certainly not a place for the faint of heart. Here, high-speed cycling is the star of the show. Track 101, an initial instruction class on how to zip through a velodrome, is free for adults, so now is your time to try something new. Spectators can also swing by to check out a few gravity-defying races. Seats are only $5, so you won't break your budget on this adventure!
While the St. Clair-Superior neighborhood is the last place you'd expect to find a farm, it's also the best place to discover a farm. This urban oasis is the first farm started in Cleveland in this century, and it features an awesome market from June through September. Swing by Thursdays between 4 and 7 p.m. for local produce you can't resist.
